I will once again violate my own editorial charter today by posting a picture of a suit that is not mine — though it could be — but belongs to young Julien de Luca, heir to legendary bespoke tailor Camps de Luca, wearing the house style at The Rake’s Anderson & Sheppard-Bryan Ferry party:http://www.therakeonline.com/read.php?id=137&d=2012-09-19&t=Champagne-Supernova:-Anderson-&-Sheppard-and-The-Rake-for-Bryan-Ferry
Camps de Luca is the finest bespoke tailor on the planet, one of the most expensive too, but no one except a few Russian, Chinese and Gulf millionaires seems to be buying suits there, and it’s quite a shame because theirs is simply the best suit I’ve ever bought, bar none. The picture reveals their signature parisian notch lapel, and roped shoulder. If you look at the other pictures from the party, I find that Julien’s look epitomizes the understated elegance of Camps de Luca versus the gaggle of peacocks present at this event.
